How Zan Rediscovered Her Power and Confidence with Boudoir Photography

Zan walked into the studio with a mix of excitement and nerves. Like many women who step into 4 Girls Glamour, she had her doubts. Would she look good on camera? Would she feel comfortable? But by the time she left, she wasn’t just comfortable—she was radiant.

Originally, Zan had booked her boudoir session as a gift for her partner. But life had its twists and turns, and during a brief time apart, she realized something powerful: this session wasn’t just about someone else. It was about her.

“I decided to make this photo shoot about me,” she shared, reflecting on her journey.

Overcoming Self-Doubt and Embracing the Experience

Elizabeth could tell Zan was a little shy at first. That’s completely normal. Most women who come into the studio aren’t used to seeing themselves in such a bold and confident light.

“What made you finally decide to book?” Elizabeth asked as they prepared for the shoot.

“I saw all of your cool photos and decided to say, ‘fuck it.’ For the price, it was the best deal, and you guys did great with all of the images I saw on Instagram!” Zan laughed, her energy already shifting.

Zan had looked at several photographers but ultimately chose 4 Girls Glamour because of their experience photographing Black women. It was important to her to trust someone with her hair and makeup, and Jen delivered. “Jen did a wonderful job,” she said, beaming.

The Moment Everything Changed

The first few shots are always the warm-up, a chance to ease into the process. But with Elizabeth’s encouragement, Zan quickly found herself letting go.

“Liz was a great hype woman,” she said. “She made sure I felt so pretty and comfortable the whole time.”

By the middle of the session, the transformation was undeniable. The shyness melted away, and in its place, a fierce confidence emerged.

“I feel so badass! My pictures turned out amazing, and I didn’t know I could look that great.”
